Friends,
I have such exciting news! This is a project I’ve been working on for several months, and it is now officially ready to launch! In partnership with Celebrate Cooking LLC, I am happy to offer you a selection of delicious teas inspired by our colonial past! These teas are blended right here in the USA and available in specialty shops and restaurants in Virginia as well as in my own Etsy shop!
The first two tea blends available now are “Colonial Lady” and “Williamsburg Summer.”

Colonial Lady is a gorgeous (and delicious!) loose leaf tea inspired by the homemade teas colonial women would have made out of flowers and herbs in their own gardens after the boycott of British tea began in 1774. This tea includes black tea leaves, rosehips, citrus peel, parsley, lavender blossoms, cornflower petals, raspberry and orange pieces. You can see how it looks in the photo below, it’s like a potpourri! Each bag of tea also comes with a food grade muslin bag to use as a reusable tea bag, or you can use your own tea strainer. If you’re in Virginia, you can also find this tea at Chickahominy House in Williamsburg as well as Seasons of Williamsburg.

Our newest blend is “Williamsburg Summer” which is a sumptuous blackberry tea that can be enjoyed both hot and cold. This tea comes in individual tea bags and is a delicious summer flavor. This tea is also available in the Williamsburg area and in my Etsy shop! In addition to these teas, I also did the artwork for a custom tea for the Smithfield Gourmet Bakery in Smithfield, VA that is sold exclusively in their bakery! It’s an almond honey tea, perfect to go with their icon almond and honey bread!

And as exciting as all this is, I have even MORE exciting news! I will be in Virginia this November and will be at the Yorktown Tea Festival on Wednesday, November 6 celebrating the 250th anniversary of Yorktown’s own revolutionary “Tea Party” and the history of tea in Colonial America! I’ll have more information on that soon, but the festival is a 3 day event starting on November 6 involving The American Revolution Museum and Waterman Museum of Yorktown and the Yorktown downtown area.
Your ticket to the event grants you access to the museums, 4 lectures by experts in the field of colonial history and tea, special tea tastings, an included lunch and then an afternoon tea party! We are going to have such fun! I hope to see you there!
