Welcome!

Welcome to Sleightholm Folk Art! I am Heather Sleightholm, a lover of the sacred and homespun, good books & gardening. I am a folk art painter and cross stitch designer inspired by all things cozy and handmade.

On this site I will share what I’m making and what’s inspiring me, my favorite books and notes from the garden. I also love to share my travels to some of my favorite historical sites.  I’m so glad you’ve decided to come by for a visit, thanks for spending some time here with me!

Blessings to you on this cold St Brigid’s Day!
Fresh notecards restocked in my Etsy shop! Including 5x7” cards of “Angora Spinner” (prints coming soon!
🐰French girls are getting big! 🐰 I’ve harvested Cocos first baby coat and am waiting for the cold weather to pass before I get Noëlles. Can’t wait to see how their “wool” spins up! I’ve wanted an angora rabbit (or two!) for many years now, and was thrilled to get some babies from @hopeandhealinghomestead just before Christmas. I tell you what, with fiber art….one thing leads to another! Now there’s livestock involved! 😂
🐰Angora Spinner 🐰 is now finished and available to purchase in my Etsy shop! I’ll be ordering some prints as well 💕
⚔️ The Romans invaded my son’s birthday! ⚔️😁 and he was so thrilled! Thanks to the guys at @devaromandiscoverycentre, especially our friend Jordan, who arranged a special birthday greeting for him. Thank you! ⚔️
We’ve got bunnies on the brain around here 🐰🐰
CURRENT DONATION AMOUNT: $151
