After a bit of a summer hiatus, I am now BACK into the full swing of making art AND offering classes! (for the most up-to-date list of classes I’ll be teaching, click HERE)
The first class I’ll be offering this autumn will be taking place ON the first day of autumn! And it will be a fun class creating your own salt box house portrait on a canvas square, at the brand new Brady District location of Made, a modern handmade boutique in Tulsa, OK.
At this class we will gather for an evening of painting, learning about the roots of folk art in America, while getting to know each other and probably laughing a lot as we dabble in this homespun art!
American folk art is my very favorite type of art; and it is the perfect way to dip your toe into painting, no need to have any experience aside from grade-school level art knowledge. It will be fun and acrylic paint is a fun and forgiving medium. I’d love to show you how to create your own autumnal heirloom, all in this fabulous new space, surrounded by other gorgeous handmade goodies (including a gallery exhibit by my crafting partner in crime, House Sparrow Fine Nesting!)
Registration is now open for this class through Made’s website.
I hope to see you there!~ Autumn is coming!
