Commissions

NOTE: I have now entered my busiest time of the year with my shop, so I will be putting commissions on hold until January 2016. Thanks so much for your understanding!

Along side my original folk art pieces, I am also very happy to offer custom portraits for commission!

I do a lot of figure portraits, family portraits, wedding portraits, even ancestor portraits and portraits of characters for authors to commemorate their own publications!

I love being able to create heirlooms for families and work easily from photographs. Please feel free to email me if you’d like to talk further about commissioning your own portrait.

If you are interested in a custom portrait, all you need to email me and we can discuss what you’d like to have done. I price my paintings by size (see size and price chart below) and when you’ve decided what size painting you’d like, I will send you a paypal invoice for the whole amount plus shipping costs. This ensures that I will be able to cover the cost of supplies and also the time spent on your painting.

Once you’ve paid, we can discuss the fun details– if this is a portrait or imagined piece, what type of time period, detail, color scheme, season, etc. that you would like depicted in the painting. If you are requesting a portrait, I will ask that you email me photos of the person/people. Currently, my average turn around time to complete a painting is 4-6 weeks.
