Sept 9:  Etsy Autumn Open House: 
This event is free and online! I’ll be listing a new collection of autumn art the morning of Friday, September 9 in my etsy shop sleightholmfolk.etsy.com. Everyone is welcome to grab a nice cup of coffee, an autumn treat, and browse my new listings!

Sept. 22: 4×4″ Autumn Salt Box House Painting:
Join me in celebrating the first day of fall at the new Brady District location of “Made”. This beautiful new shop showcases the best that local artists and makers and has a great classroom space as well. Friday September 22 from 6-8pm I’ll lead you creating your own little autumn salt box house painting on 4×4″ chunky canvas. For more info and to sign up, visit the website of MADE

Celebrating 10 Years of Folk Art!!

Oct. 13 Studio Open House 6-8 pm
Help me celebrate 10 years of making folk art! I’ll open up the studio for an evening of sharing new art, talking about up coming classes, and celebrating a decade of creating art! Stop by the studio and say hello, and feel free to bring whatever craft project you’re working on!

The Studio will also be open during the morning for more 10th anniversary merry-making. Come by and learn about coming classes and events, see new art, and just chat a while!

Oct. 14 Spooky New England Scene Painting 8×10″ canvas Class
Join me in my studio as we delve into the wonderful world of New England inspired Halloween! I’ll guide you through creating your own personal New England scene, created to suit your tastes. You’ll leave the class with your own 8×10″ canvas landscape of salt box houses, autumn trees, spooky ghosts, bats, whatever your spooky heart desires! You’re welcome to come for the open house in the morning, join us for lunch at noon and then stay to paint! Lets make a folk art day of it!

 Oklahoma Handcraft Gathering 2017

April 22-23

(I will be here spinning on Saturday April 22)
The Osage Hills Handcraft Gathering is a celebration of the ingenuity of the human hand. All people with the passion for heritage Handcrafts are welcome. We know that a major part of Handcraft is the relationship between the maker and the materials as well as the relationship among fellow makers. Osage Hills State Park are providing a space for everyone to gather and share their passion and knowledge of their particular heritage Handcraft. Please visit their event page for more info.



 Spring Tea & Craft

Saturday April 29 
11 am- 5 pm

Join me for delicious lunch and tea at the gorgeous and historic Burnett Mansion in Sapulpa, OK at 11 am and then we will return to my studio (120 E. McKinley, Sapulpa OK 74066) to craft from 1-5pm.
  Bring any project you’d like to work on from drawing to knitting to spinning to rug hooking— whatever your heart desires!
   Drop ins are most welcome too— we will be at the studio from 1-5 pm. To RSVP for this event, email me or RSVP on facebook.

Blue Heron Mercantile’s
Spring Open House

May 5-6 10 am-5 pm

   I will have a collection of NEW original spring paintings, handspun yarn and prints at Blue Heron’s Spring Open House!
  Blue Heron is Oklahoma’s only Early American antique store and has been bringing Oklahoma bit of New England for over 30 years. Blue Heron is located at 1000 W. 11th Street in Jenks, Oklahoma.

  I’d love to see you here on this first weekend of May, perhaps you’ll find the perfect gift for Mother’s Day?
