It feels really good to have my last show of 2012 under my belt, and for it to have been such a lovely one. The Little Craft Show in Fayetteville, Ar. was so much fun— and I met so many new wonderful people. The two main questions I got asked on Saturday were “Are you from here?” and “Are you Swedish?” lol!
Since we live about 2 hours west of Fayetteville, we got up at about 4:45 that morning, fed animals and got dressed, and headed out. Luckily I had packed my truck the day before! We drove east as the sun came up and got there just in time to get set up– I think I was lacing up my prairie boots as the doors opened, we used every minute to set up this little holiday Audrey Eclectic booth!
The show was either packed or steadily busy for the entire time it was open— which was awesome! I was amazed at all the people who came through— I even had a sweet friend from Arkansas come down and give me a little felted present she made! At the end of the day, I heard there were just a little over 3,000 visitors at this cute little show!
As always– my art started unique conversations with people I might not otherwise have– and I met many Anne of Green Gables fans and many of Swedish descent (and fellow Kirsten doll owners, haha!)
I was so glad to have my favorite helper along with me– to drive me around, unload my stuff, and man the money box. I think we make a great team!
After the show, we split some chicken nuggets and headed home, back to Oklahoma, and glad to have the show season end on such a wonderful note— this was one of my most successful shows to date!
Thank you, Fayetteville!
Now….I am trying to clean up the ‘show aftermath’ that is the disaster of my house (how does this always happen???) and I will soon get some of the left-over ornaments listed on etsy, and also make some new ones! They were a great success!
Have a great week, my friends!
Til next time,
~H
